Test From Sensor to Gauge

1. Using voltmeter, connect one lead to ground and other lead to Pin 3 of the gauge wire harness connector. Check generator output, refer to

Generator.

2. Ignition switch in the ON position, and the engine not running, battery voltage should be present.
3. Ignition switch in the ON position and with the engine running, the generator output voltage should be more than battery voltage. If OK, test

voltmeter. If not OK, check generator, if OK, repair circuit as necessary.
