Antenna Amplifier: Description and Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATION
Antenna Amplifier Module
This radio uses an antenna amplifier module. It is used to reduce the amount of interference transmitted through the antenna and coax cable. Power
for the module is supplied on circuit X60.
This circuit is HOT only when the radio is in the ON position.
Power Amplifier
Power for the amplifier is supplied on circuit F75. This circuit is protected by a 30 amp fuse located in cavity 1 of the fuse block. This circuit is
HOT at all times. Ground for the amplifier is supplied on circuit Z1.
To connect between the radio and power amplifier a DIN cable is used.
