Removal

REMOVAL

1. Open deck lid.
2. Remove four bolts to battery compartment cover and remove cover.
3. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

WARNING: Wait two minutes for the system reserve capacitor to discharge before servicing any airbag components. Failure to do this
may result in serious or fatal injury.

4. Remove the seat from vehicle See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Seat/Seat - Removal.
5. Disconnect the two electrical connectors (1) from the OCM (2).
6. Remove the two screws (3) retaining the OCM (2) to the mounting bracket. Pivot the OCM (2) sideways to remove.

Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Position the OCM (2) in the mounting bracket and install the two screws (3).
2. Connect the two electrical connectors (1).
3. Install the seat into vehicle See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Seat/Seat - Installation.

WARNING: Do not connect the battery negative cable. Serious or fatal injury may result if the system test is not performed first.  See:
Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection

WARNING: When replacing the OCM, the OCM Rezero procedure must be performed See: Restraint Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

4. Place battery access cover into place and install four bolts.
5. Close deck lid.
