REMOVAL
1. From under instrument panel, position a small screwdriver between the center tang on the retainer clip and the pin in the brake pedal.
2. Rotate screwdriver enough to allow retainer clip center tang to pass over end of brake pedal pin and pull clip and push rod from pin. Discard
retainer clip.
3. Remove retainer screw and locknut from end of pedal shaft.
4. Slide pedal shaft out of housing and remove brake pedal assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. Position brake pedal assembly and slide pedal shaft into position.
2. Install retainer screw and tighten locknut to 35 in lb (4 Nm).
3. Connect push rod to pedal pin and install new retainer clip.
