Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair
Air Injection Pump Replacement
1. Disconnect output hose from rear of pump.
2. Remove adjusting bolt and drive belt. If a serpentine (single belt) drive belt is used, loosen alternator adjustment and pivot bolts.
3. Remove front mount bracket.
4. Remove adjustment bracket from cylinder head.
5. Remove pump from pivot stud.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Adjust drive belt to specifications.
