Remove the wire from the shock absorber retaining clip.

Strip 3/4 in. of insulation from both ends (B) of the broken wire(s). See Figure 2

Slide 1-1/2 in. of heat shrink tubing (C) over the brake pad end of the wire(s). See Figure 2

Twist the two ends together and solder using resin core solder. See Figure 3

Slide the heat shrink tubing over the soldered joint and shrink the tubing with a heat gun. See Figure 4
