Ball Stud: Service and Repair
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheel, brake caliper and rotor assemblies. Secure caliper to the shock or spring. Do not allow the brake hose to support the weight of the
caliper.
3. Using tool Rou.604.01 or equivalent to secure wheel hub, remove driveshaft attaching nut.
4. Remove wheel bearing and hub as an assembly.
5. Remove steering knuckle to shock absorber attaching bolts and the lower ball joint key bolt and nut.
6. Disconnect ball joint from steering knuckle and remove steering knuckle. Do not damage driveshaft boot when removing steering knuckle.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
