Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Ball Joint Seal Boot Replacement (Front Suspension)
Replace the dust cover by the following procedure only if the dust cover has become damaged by accident during servicing.
1. Remove the dust cover.
2. Apply Mopar Multi-mileage Lubricant Part No. 2525035 or equivalent to the lip and inside of the dust cover.
3. Also apply Mopar Multi-mileage Lubricant Part No. 2525035 or equivalent to the toe control arm dust cover in the places shown.
4. Drive in the dust cover with the special tool until it is fully seated.
5. Press the dust cover with your finger to check that there are no cracks in or damage to the dust cover.
