NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 3.3L ENGINE.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Rattle sound on passenger side at instrument panel that begins at engine start-up and may last up to 3 minutes; may also be intermittent. Sounds like fuel
lines rattling against body, even though lines are properly secured. Condition primarily present on cold starts with ambient temperatures below 70
degrees F. This noise will disappear when engine warms up.
Noise is actually hydraulic sounds from the fuel system being transmitted into the body at the dash panel area.
DIAGNOSIS:
Verify that the fuel line bundle is securely clipped to the body. Clips are located at the steering gear crossmember (passenger side) and under the body
along the fuel lines. Proceed with the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves replacing the fuel rail assembly.
Replace the fuel rail assembly as described on page 14-67 of the 1994 Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker Service Manual (Publication No.
81-270-4140).
NOTE:
THE APPROPRIATE NEW MOUNTING BRACKET MUST BE USED WHEN INSTALLING A NEW FUEL RAIL
IF THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR AND O-RINGS ARE NOT PROPERLY TRANSFERRED TO THE NEW FUEL RAIL, A LOSS OF
FUEL PRESSURE WILL RESULT. WHEN REMOVING THE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, THE O-RINGS MAY REMAIN ATTACHED
TO THE REGULATOR. THEY MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE REGULATOR AND SEPARATELY INSTALLED INTO THE FUEL RAIL
CAVITY. WHEN INSTALLING O-RINGS, APPLY A LIGHT COAT OF CLEAN ENGINE OIL AND SEAT THEM INTO THE CAVITY
BEFORE INSERTING THE REGULATOR.
