Sunroof / Moonroof Position Sensor: Service and Repair
NOTE: The numbered call-outs in the following service procedure refer the numbered parts found in the exploded view diagram.
REMOVAL
1. Remove headlining as necessary to gain access to sensor (35) on driver side of vehicle.
2. Disengage sensor wire connector (35) from sunroof controller (43).
3. Remove adhesive tape covering position sensor wire harness.
4. Using a small screwdriver, pry downward on the inner lip of the sensor retainer bracket.
5. Slide sensor out of bracket.
INSTALLATION
1. Slide sensor (35) into bracket.
2. Crimp inner lip of retainer bracket around sensor.
3. Engage sensor wire connector into sunroof controller (43).
4. Apply adhesive tape to position sensor wires.
5. Install headlining.
