AIR FLOW SENSOR STOP BENT

VEHICLES:

BRAVA AND SPIDER WITH REINFORCED FLAP IN AIR FLOW SENSOR

NOTE:

On some Brava and Spider vehicles, the sensor flap in the air flow sensor has been reinforced. This can be determined by looking into
the outlet end of the air flow sensor (see illustration below).

SYMPTOM: Uneven idle.

CAUSE:

Bent stop for sensor flap in the air flow sensor.

CORRECTION:
Replace stop on air flow sensor.

After replacing stop, adjust idle speed and CO.
PARTS INFORMATION:
The stop for the sensor flap in the air flow sensor can be replaced with Kit No. 4162. The Kits are available from your Parts and Accessories Distribution
Center.

WARRANTY INFORMATION:
On vehicles with the reinforced flap in the air flow sensor you must replace the stop and not the complete air flow sensor if the stop is bent. For
replacement of the stop use Operation 102-26-00 and 102-26-08. Parts mark-up is 35%.
