IGNITION TIMING

CONDITION:
Improper setting of the ignition timing
CAUSE:
Possible shifting of the ignition timing pointer at the crankshaft pulley.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
To ensure that the setting of the ignition timing is correct, check the timing marks at both.

The ignition timing specifications are:

Standard Transmission - 5° at 800-850 RPM
^
Automatic Transmission - 5° at 700-750 RPM
