Steering Column Support Brackets - Loose

STEERING - COLUMN SUPPORT BRACKETS - LOOSE
LIGHT TRUCK:
1986-90 AEROSTAR
ISSUE:
The steering column may feel loose. This occurs because of the loose fit of the upper to lower tube assemblies.
ACTION:
Install two new brackets at the upper steering column attaching bracket. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
1.
Remove the lower instrument panel.
NOTE:
DO NOT DISCONNECT ANY ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS.
