ISSUE:
Oil leaks at the rear crankshaft oil seal or the engine oil dipstick tube may be caused by excessive pressure in the engine crankcase. This occurs because
ice forms in the PCV closure hose in ambient temperatures of -4~F (-20~C) and below.
ACTION:
Install a filter and tee assembly in the crankcase ventilation closure hose. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
