Heater Core: Service and Repair
Auxiliary (Rear)

Fig. 23 Auxiliary heater core removal

1.

Remove first seat behind driver, if equipped.

2.

Remove auxiliary heater access cover attaching screws and the cover, Fig. 23.

3.

Remove auxiliary unit floor duct attaching screws, rotate unit downward and remove from vehicle.

4.

Remove auxiliary heater cover assembly retaining screws, then separate cover from auxiliary heater.

5.

Disconnect heater hoses from heater core, plug hoses and core to prevent spillage of coolant, then slide core and seal assembly out through slot in
housing.

6.

Reverse procedure to install.
