Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
Front Output Shaft Oil Seal and Bushing
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Drain lubricant from transfer case.
3.
Disconnect output shaft from front driveshaft.
4.
Using output shaft wrench tool No. T90T-7127-E and holding tool No. T90T-7127-F, remove locknut from output shaft.
5.
Remove deflector and steel bushing from output shaft.
6.
Using seal remover tool No. 1175C, and slide hammer tool No. T50T-100-A, remove oil seal from output shaft.
7.
Reverse procedure to install.
