On the passenger side of the seat cushion, remove the scuff plate (1978-82) or rubber bumper (1983 only), For 1978-82 units, discard the scuff
plate and one (1) attaching screw (Figure 20). For 1983 units, retain the rubber bumper and attaching screw (Figure 22).
6.
On the passenger side of the seat cushion, disengage the trim cover as required to gain access to the two (2) screws, securing the seat back latch
striker to the seat cushion frame (Figure 22). Then, remove and discard the striker.
