If necessary to replace a rocker arm stud, a rocker arm stud kit is available and contains a stud remover, a stud installer, and two reamers, one .006
inch and the other .015 inch.
Rocker arm studs that are broken or have damaged threads may be replaced with standard studs. Loose studs in the head may be replaced with .006
inch, .010 inch or .015 inch oversize studs which are available for service.
When going from a standard size stud to a .015 inch oversize stud, always use a .006 inch reamer and a .010 inch reamer before reaming is finished
with a .015 inch reamer.
If a stud is broken off flush with the stud boss, use an easy-out to remove the broken stud, following the instructions of the tool manufacturer.
Remove stud with tool T62F-6A527-B, Fig. 22, and install new stud with tool T65P-6A527-A, Fig. 23.
