1980-81 E & F-100-250 & Bronco except heavy duty. Before installing the new piston, the cylinder ridge must be removed to ensure that the top
compression ring does not contact the ridge or deposits formed at the top of the cylinder bore. When removing the ridge, do not cut into the ring travel
area more than {1/32} inch.
