With the engine running and the wire loom connector attached to the choke control relay make the following voltage check: (See Figure 8)
a.
Connect a voltmeter ground probe to circuit #57B (black) wire and the B + probe to the #4 circuit (white w/black stripe) wire as shown in
Figure 8.
b.
A voltage reading of 7 volts indicates correct wire routing. A voltage reading of 0 volts indicates incorrect wire routing.
4.
When the voltage check indicates an incorrect wire routing circuit #4 (white w/black stripe) wire must be switched with circuit #4A (white w/black
stripe) wire in the connector (Figure 8).
5.
After circuit #4 and #4A have been switched in the connector, verify the voltage reading on terminal #2 of the connector is 7 volts.
