Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to: Batterie abklemmen (414-01, General Procedures). | 2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s). 1 - Positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose. 3 - Exhaust camshaft adjuster solenoid switch connector 4 - Disconnect the intake camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector 5 - Disconnect the exhaust camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector 6 - Intake camshaft adjuster solenoid switch connector bolt 7 - Intake camshaft adjuster solenoid switch 8 - Exhaust camshaft adjuster solenoid switch connector bolt 9 - Exhaust camshaft adjuster solenoid switch 3. To install, reverse the removal procedure. | -

NOTE:Install new cylinder head cover gasket as necessary. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown, in three stages. - Screw in bolt 1 by three to four turns.
- Tighten bolts 1 to 13 to 3 Nm.
- Tighten bolts 1 to 13 to 9 Nm.

CAUTION:Use suitable blunt object to avoid damaging the spark plug connector seal. Coat the inside of the spark plug connector with silicone grease to a depth of 5 - 10 mm. Clip the spark plug lead to the cylinder head cover. | Item 2 : Intake camshaft adjuster solenoid switch connector | -
