Remover, Crankshaft Seal

Installer, Crankshaft Front Seal

  1. Remove the timing belt.
    For additional information, refer to Timing Belt - in this section.

  1. Install the engine front mount support bracket.
    • Install the retaining bolts finger tight.

  1. Install the engine front mount.
    • Install the retaining bolts finger tight.

4. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Support the engine between the oil pan and the transmission to prevent damage to the underside of the oil pan.
    Using a trolley jack and suitable wooden blocks under the oil pan raise the engine.

  1. Remove the engine front mount.

  1. Remove the engine front mount support bracket.
  1. Install the timing belt.
    For additional information, refer to Timing Belt - in this section.

Removal Details

Item 2 : Crankshaft front seal
  1. Using the special tool, remove the crankshaft front seal.
    • Discard the seal.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:New crankshaft front seals are supplied with an alignment sleeve which will be pushed out during installation.
    Using the special tool, install the crankshaft front seal.
