Remove the engine undershield. | Vehicles with air conditioning | -
CAUTION:Support the air conditioning (A/C) compressor before removing the retaining bolts and secure it to one side to prevent load being placed on the refrigerant lines. Detach the A/C compressor from the retaining adapter and the cylinder block and secure it to one side. | | -
Remove the A/C compressor retaining adapter. | 6. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s). 3 - Charge air cooler intake pipe rear retaining bolt 4 - Charge air cooler intake pipe front retaining bolt 5 - Charge air cooler intake pipe 6 - Oil pan retaining bolt - long 7 - Oil pan retaining bolt - short 8 - Oil pan to transaxle retaining bolt 7. To install, reverse the removal procedure. | -
Fill the engine with engine oil. For additional information, refer to Specification in this section. | Removal Details Item 1 : Oil drain plug | -
NOTE:Do not install the new oil drain plug seal at this stage. Install the oil drain plug. | Item 9 : Oil pan | -
Using a suitable spatula, remove the oil pan. - Slide the spatula around the profile of the oil pan.

Clean the mating faces of the oil pan and the cylinder block with suitable metal surface cleaner. | | -
CAUTION:Install the oil pan within four minutes of applying the sealer. Apply a 3 mm bead of sealant to the mating face of the oil pan. | | -
NOTE:Do not fully tighten the oil pan retaining bolts at this stage. Install the oil pan. | | -
Tighten the oil pan to transaxle retaining bolts. | | -
Tighten the oil pan retaining bolts. | |
