Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to: Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Remove the radiator splash shield.

4. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Removal Details

Item 2 : Radiator support bracket front retaining bolts

Install temporary radiator support bracket front retaining bolts. Remove the radiator support bracket front retaining bolts. Install 30mm M8 bolts leaving 15mm of thread exposed.

Item 4 : Cooling fan motor and shroud top retaining clips

Release the cooling fan motor and shroud top retaining clip.

Item 5 : Cooling fan motor and shroud

Press in the cooling fan motor and shroud bottom retaining clips. Lift up the cooling fan shroud until clear of the retaining brackets. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.
