Operating principle
The resonance chamber is located in the front left wing and is connected to the air filter housing.
The cleaned air goes through the top of the air filter housing to the MAF sensor, which is located at the outlet of the air filter housing.
The fresh air goes via a connecting pipe to the turbocharger. The gases from the crankcase are drawn in with it via the connecting hose (1). Air intake noise is reduced further in the resonance chamber (7).
In the turbocharger, the drawn in fresh air is compressed and transported via the connecting pipe (5) to the intercooler.
The fresh air is cooled by ram air and is transported via the connecting pipe (6) to the inlet manifold.
