Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve tube from upper intake manifold and air cleaner outlet tube. Remove tube from vehicle.
2. Disconnect evaporative emission hose from Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve.
3. Disconnect vacuum supply hose from throttle body at the PCV valve.
4. Remove PCV valve from oil separator tube.
5. Inspect PCV valve and oil separator tube sleeve for deterioration. Replace as necessary.
6. To install, reverse removal procedure.
