Differential: Service and Repair
Disassembly and Assembly

DISASSEMBLE 

1. Using a punch, remove differential pinion shaft roll pin, then the shaft.

NOTE:  Do not remove final drive pinion shaft retaining ring.

Differential Side Gears & Thrust Washers

2. Remove differential pinion gears and thrust washers, then the side gears and side gear thrust washers.
3. Clean all parts thoroughly in solvent, Then dry with compressed air.

ASSEMBLE 

1. Install differential side gears and thrust washers.
2. Install differential pinion gears and side gear thrust washers, then the pinion shaft and roll pin.
