CAUTION: In all service operations the driveshaft bearing retainer circlips must be replaced with a new part. Do not begin this procedure unless a new
hub retainer nut, lower control arm to steering knuckle attaching bolt and nut, and the circlips are available. Once removed, these components must not
be reused during assembly/installation. Their torque holding ability or retention capability is diminished during removal.

2. Remove front axle retainer nut and washer, discard nut.
3. Remove nut from stabilizer bar link at shock absorber end, then using a suitable tie rod end puller, remove link from shock and position aside.
4. Remove nut from tie rod end, then using a suitable tie rod end puller, remove tie rod from knuckle and position aside.
5. Remove and discard lower ball joint pinch bolt, then pry lower ball joint from knuckle.
6. Remove outer joint from hub using tools shown, or their equivalents, noting the following:
a. Do not use a hammer to drive joint from hub.
b. Do not allow driveshaft to hang from inner joint.
