Flywheel: Service and Repair
Installation

1. Position nylon spacer on crankshaft. Use Flywheel Holding Tool T74P-6375-A to prevent flywheel from turning.

2. Install flywheel and eight flywheel-to-crankshaft bolts. Tighten bolts to 112 Nm (83 ft. lbs.) in a criss-cross pattern.
3. Clean clutch pressure plate and flywheel surfaces with a suitable commercial alcohol-base solvent to be sure that surfaces are free from any oil

film. Do not use cleaners with a petroleum base. Do not immerse clutch pressure plate in the solvent. Do not attempt to clean the clutch disc.

4. Install the clutch disc using Clutch Aligner T74P-7137-K.

NOTE:  Avoid touching the clutch disc face, dropping parts or contaminating parts with oil or grease.

Clutch Pressure Plate Tightening Sequence

5. Position clutch disc (damper springs facing outward) and clutch pressure plate on the flywheel, align the clutch pressure plate and clutch disc, and

install retaining bolts that fasten the assembly to the flywheel finger tight. Align and center clutch disc using Clutch Aligner T74P-7137-K. To
avoid clutch pressure plate cover distortion, alternately tighten cover bolts in sequence as shown until fully seated. Use Flywheel Holding Tool
T74P-6375-A to hold flywheel while tightening bolts. Then tighten the bolts to 18-26 Nm (13-18 ft. lbs.) in the sequence shown. Removal clutch
disc allot tool.

NOTE:  When reinstalling the original clutch pressure plate and cover assembly, align the assembly and flywheel according to the marks made
during Removal.

6. Install transaxle.
