Audible Warning Device: Description and Operation
Electronic Instrument Cluster Tone
With the ignition key in the RUN or ACC position, the safety belt warning chime in the Lighting Control Module (LCM) will emit a tone momentarily:

when a button on the electronic instrument cluster is pushed.

in conjunction with visual displays on the electronic instrument cluster.
When ignition switch is in RUN or ACC, power is supplied through Circuit 296 (W/P) to the LCM.
When ignition switch is in RUN or START, power is supplied through Circuit 640 (R/Y) to the LCM.
When appropriate, the electronic instrument cluster Circuit 183 (T/Y) sends a signal to activate the LCM causing the LCM to chime.
