Hazard Warning Flasher: Description and Operation
Voltage is present at the Hazard Flasher at all times through Fuse 7 and circuit 10 (LG/R). Depressing and releasing the hazard button on the
Multi-Function Switch closes the Hazard Switch contacts. At the same time, normal turn signal and stop lamp feed circuits are disconnected. Current
flows through Fuse 7 circuit 10 (LG/R), the Hazard Flasher coil and circuit 385 (W/R) to the Multi-Function Switch. The Multi-Function Switch directs
current to circuit 2 (W/LB), 3 (LG/W), 5 (O/LB) and 9 (LG/O) to operate all turn signal lamps and the turn indicator lamps. As the Hazard Flasher
contacts open and close, all turn signal lamps and indicators flash in unison.
