Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove engine air cleaner and air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Disconnect 28-pin connector attaching anti-lock brake module to wire harness.

4. Remove tubes from inlet ports of pump motor and tubes from outlet ports of brake pressure control valve block. Plug each port to prevent brake
fluid from spilling on paint and wiring.
5. Remove Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) to mounting bracket retaining nuts, then tip rear of HCU up and pull rearward to slide forward mounting
pins out of the retaining grommets.
6. Remove HCU from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque HCU retaining nuts and tube fittings to 12-18 ft lb.
