DTC B1334: Decklid Ajar Rear Door Short To Ground
B1334-1 - Perform Lighting Control Module Self Test

Make sure all doors are fully closed to second latch.
-
During self test, make sure that no new warnings are displayed on instrument cluster.
-
Rerun self test.
Is DTC B1334 still present?
YES
GO to B1334-2.
NO
System operating normally.
B1334-2 - Check Chime Function
-
Enter Diagnostic Data Link.
-
Enter LCM - Lighting Control Module.
-
Enter PID/DATA Monitor and Record.
-
Select the following PID: DECKLID - Decklid Switch
Does PID read AJAR?
YES
REMOVE ground from circuit 486 (BR/W). RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO
REPLACE lighting control module. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
B1340 - Chime Input Request Short To Ground
DTC B1340: Chime Input Request Short To Ground
B1340-1 - Check Instrument Cluster Type

Check for electronic instrument cluster.
Does vehicle have an electronic instrument cluster?
YES
G0 to B1340-2.
NO
GO to B1340-4.
B1340-2 - Perform Lighting Control Module Self Test

Make sure all doors are fully closed to second latch.

During self test make sure that no new warnings are displayed on instrument cluster.

Rerun self test.
Is DTC B1340 still present?
YES
GO to B1340-3.
NO
System operating normally.
B1340-3 - Check Instrument Cluster Function

Disconnect connector C1 from electronic instrument cluster.

Rerun self test.
Is DTC B1340 still present?
YES
SERVICE Circuit 183 (T/Y) for short to ground. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO
REPLACE electronic instrument cluster. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
B1340-4 - Check For Police Vehicle Status

Check vehicle to see if equipped for police vehicle status.
