Removal and Installation
Throttle Body
REMOVAL
1. Remove air cleaner outlet tube.
2. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from the Throttle Position (TP) sensor as well as accelerator cable at the throttle lever.
3. Remove four throttle body retaining bolts.
4. Carefully separate throttle body from intake manifold adapter.
5. Remove and discard throttle body gasket between throttle body and adapter.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: If scraping is necessary, do not damage gasket surfaces or allow material to drop into engine.
1. Clean gasket mating services.
2. Install throttle body, new throttle body gasket and four bolts to the intake manifold adapter. Tighten retaining bolts to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in).
3. Connect the fuel charging wiring to the TP sensor as well as accelerator cable to the throttle lever.
4. Install air cleaner outlet tube. Tighten engine air cleaner tube clamps to 2.5-3.2 Nm (22-28 lb in).
