Power Steering Pressure Control Valve: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect EVO wiring harness connector from actuator.
2. Disconnect return hose, then pressure hose from the power steering pump. Plug all openings.
3. Disconnect belt from pulley, then remove pump and pulley assembly.
4. Place power steering pump in a vise and remove actuator assembly from power steering pump using a 6mm Allen hex from the back side of the
actuator.
5. Install actuator assembly to pump housing, then torque to 10-15 ft lb.
6. Install pump and pulley assembly to engine. Torque four pump retaining bolts to 15-22 ft lb.
7. Remove plugs and connect return and pressure hoses to power steering pump.
8. Connect wiring harness to actuator assembly.
9. Purge power steering system of air.
