Crown Victoria V8-4.6L SOHC VIN 6 (1996)
Solenoid
1. Check solenoid O-rings for abrasion or cuts. Replace O-rings as required. Lightly grease O-ring area of solenoid and larger solenoid housing
O-ring with Silicone Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A (ESE-M1C171-A) or equivalent.
2. Insert solenoid into air spring end cap and rotate clockwise to third stop, push into second stop, then rotate clockwise to first stop.
3. Install solenoid clip.
4. Inspect wire harness connector and ensure rubber gasket is in place at bottom of connector cavity.
5. Connect air line and electrical connector.
6. Install heat shield.
7. Lower hoist as required, but do not apply a load to the suspension.
