Wiper Motor: Testing and Inspection
Wiper Motor Current Draw Test
NOTE: Motor terminals may be too small to make necessary test connections. If necessary, use jumper wires with suitable connector sleeves between
motor and test equipment.
1. Disconnect wiper linkage from output arm and electrical connectors from motor.

2. Make test connections as shown. Alternately connect the battery negative jumper wire to high and low speed wiper motor terminals.
3. Current draw at either terminal should not exceed 3.5 amps.
4. If current draw is excessive, check output arm and wind latch assembly for binding. If output arm assembly is satisfactory, repair or replace motor.
