17. Identify early build or late build steering wheel.

An early build steering wheel will have a tower on the left side (shown), a late build will be on the right.

Make sure that if a new steering wheel was installed, it was the same as original equipment.
Caution: There are 2 driver air bag modules for this vehicle, an early build and late build. These driver air bag modules cannot be
interchanged. If installing a new driver air bag module, make sure the correct module is being installed or damage to the components can
occur.
18. Identify the correct driver air bag module.

Looking at the connector side of the driver air bag module, an early build will have a tower on the right (shown), a late build driver air bag
module will have a tower on the left.
