Condenser to Evaporator Line
CONDENSER TO EVAPORATOR LINE
Removal and Installation
NOTE: Installation of a new suction accumulator is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of
contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator.
All vehicles
1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. NOTE: The condenser outlet fitting on diesel vehicles is sealed with an O-ring seal only and is not equipped with a gasket seal.
Remove the condenser outlet fitting nut and disconnect the fitting.

Discard the O-ring seal and gasket seal (if equipped).

To install, tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).
Vehicles with 4.6L, 5.4L or 6.8L engine
3. Remove the engine air cleaner and the air cleaner outlet tube.
Vehicles with auxiliary A/C
4. Remove the 3 condenser-to-evaporator line bracket screws and the 3 condenser-to-evaporator line brackets.
5. Detach the condenser-to-evaporator line clip.
