Removal and Installation
CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of
the power steering components may occur.
1. Remove the power steering pump pulley.
2. Disconnect the power steering reservoir-to-pump hose.
3. Disconnect the power steering pressure line-to-pump fitting.

Remove and discard the Teflon(R) seal.

To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.)
4. Remove the power steering pump bolts and the pump.

To install, tighten to 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.)
5. NOTE: A new Teflon(R) seal must be installed on the power steering line fitting anytime the line is disconnected from the pump.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Using the special tool, install a new Teflon(R) seal on the power steering pressure fitting.

Fill and leak check the system.
