5. Lock the parking brake.

6. Index-mark the components and remove the 4 coupling driveshaft bolts from the parking brake assembly.

7. NOTE:  If a new output flange on the parking brake assembly needs to be installed, refer to Parking Brake and Actuation.

Separate the coupling shaft from the parking brake assembly.

E-350 vehicles 

8. Index-mark the driveshaft flange and transmission. Remove the 4 bolts.
9. Remove the driveshaft.
