NOTE: Some models may experience problems with hard shifting, gear disengagement or incorrect shifting functions caused by worn, damaged or
missing shift linkage components. This malfunction may be corrected by replacing plastic grommets in column mounted shift lever assembly and the
retainer ring attaching adjusting stud to shifter levers, using tool shown in image.

1. Install a 3/16 inch diameter gauge pin through locating hole in steering column shift levers and plastic spacer.
