On the wiring harness, locate the pink/purple with orange stripe wire (298 circuit) entering connector (C305) (See Figure 3). Cut the altitude
compensator red lead wire to the length required to connect it to the pink/purple wire using the wiring tap (Item 8). Use the adjustable strap
(Item 2) to hold the red lead to the wire harness.

Reinstall starter solenoid (if removed) and battery.

Reinstall air cleaner.

Obtain an Authorized modification Decal (Form FPS-8262 [STAT 5941 2 in Canada] on the Dealer Weekly Stock Order Pad) (Figure 4) and
list the date, dealer number, and alteration performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information Decal
suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications Decal. Clean the area, install the decal, and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.

Reinstall engine cover.
