10. Remove the nut, the 4 bolts, the oil filter adapter and the gasket.

Discard the gasket.
11. CAUTION: Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs or other abrasive means to clean the sealing surfaces. These
may cause scratches and gouges resulting in leak paths. Use a plastic scraper to clean the sealing surfaces.
Clean the sealing surfaces with silicone gasket remover and metal surface prep. Follow the directions on the packaging. Inspect the mating
surfaces.
Installation
1. Position the new gasket and the oil filter adapter. Install the nut and the 4 bolts.

Tighten the front 4 bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs).

Tighten the rear nut to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs).
2. Connect the lower radiator hose.
3. Install the EOP switch.

Tighten to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs).
4. Connect the EOP switch electrical connector.
5. Position a new oil cooler and install the threaded insert.
^
Tighten to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs).
6. Install a new oil filter.
^
Tighten to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs).
7. Connect the 2 coolant hoses to the engine oil cooler.
8. Fill the crankcase with clean engine oil.
9. Install the left engine support insulator.
10. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
