3. Remove the transmission-mounted parking brake.

Remove the transmission-mounted parking retaining bolts.

Keeping the vent in an upward position, remove the transmission-mounted parking brake assembly.

Remove and discard the transmission-mounted parking brake gasket.

Vehicles equipped with a fixed flange 

4. Remove the output shaft flange.

Remove and discard the output shaft flange bolt.

Remove the output shaft flange.

All vehicles 

5. Remove the transmission rear crossmember support insulator nuts.

6. Install a suitable transmission jack.
7. Remove the transmission rear crossmember support insulator bolts.
