6. Index-mark the components and remove the 4 coupling driveshaft bolts from the parking brake assembly.

7. Separate the coupling shaft from the parking brake assembly.

E-350 vehicles 

8. Index-mark the driveshaft flange and transmission. Remove the 4 bolts.

9. Remove the driveshaft.

Installation

All vehicles 

1. Using the index marks, position the driveshaft. E-450 vehicles
2. Install the 4 coupling shaft bolts.

Tighten to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.).
