6. Remove the heater core.

1. Remove the heater core case seal.
2. Remove the heater core.

INSTALLATION

1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Heater Core and/or A/C Evaporator Core

REMOVAL

NOTE:  Cap or plug all open refrigerant fittings to prevent entry of dirt and moisture.

1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Drain the engine cooling system.

3. Disconnect and plug the heater water hoses.

4. Disconnect the refrigerant line spring-lock couplings.
5. Remove the third, fourth and fifth bench seats as required.

NOTE:  This step applies only to vehicles equipped with the three-, four-, or five-bench seat option.

6. Remove the trim panels.

a. Remove the left center bolster trim panel. 
b. Remove the quarter trim rear upper panel. 
c. Remove the lower rear body side trim panel.

NOTE:  This step applies only to vehicles equipped with the interior trim package.
