Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Hold the accelerator pedal in place and disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal and shaft.
2. Remove the engine air cleaner and outlet tube.
3. Remove the accelerator cable from the bulkhead. From inside the vehicle, compress the retaining tabs on the cable end and push the cable end out
and through the bulkhead.
4. Remove the accelerator cable from the throttle body cam.
5. Remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable bracket.
NOTE: Compress the retaining tabs on the cable and push the accelerator cable through the bracket and remove the accelerator cable.
INSTALLATION
To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
