INTERMEDIATE BAND ADJUSTMENT
NOTE: When making the intermediate band adjustment, the locknut must be discarded and a new one installed each time the band is adjusted. Refer to
service bulletins section for additional information on this procedure.
1. Clean dirt from the band adjusting screw. Remove and discard locknut.
2. Install a new locknut and tighten the adjusting screw to 14 Nm (10 ft lbs).
3. Back the screw off exactly 1.5 turns.
4. Hold the adjusting screw from turning and torque the locknut to 48-61 Nm(35-40 ft lbs).
