Seat Cushion: Overhaul

Disassembly and Assembly
1. Remove the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Front See: Seat Back/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Front Seats/Seat Backrest - Front.
2. Remove the seat cushion cover. For additional information, refer to Seat Cushion Cover - Front See: Seat Cover/Service and Repair/Front
Seats/Seat Cushion Cover - Front.
3. Remove the seat track. For additional information, refer to Seat Track - Front See: Seat Track/Service and Repair/Seat Track - Front.
4. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.

Disassembly and Assembly
NOTE: For parts identification and locations, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Rear, Bucket See: Service and Repair/Rear Seats/Seat - Exploded View,

1. Remove the backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Rear, Bucket See: Seat Back/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Rear Seats/Seat Backrest - Rear, Bucket.
2. For RH seat, remove the seat track. For additional information, refer to Seat Track - Rear, Bucket See: Seat Track/Service and Repair/Seat Track
- Rear, Bucket.
3. For LH seat, remove the 4 nuts and seat pedestal.

To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
4. Remove the cushion cover. For additional information, refer to Seat Cushion Cover - Rear, Bucket See: Seat Cover/Service and Repair/Rear
Seats/Seat Cushion Cover - Rear, Bucket.
5. Remove the cushion foam pad.
6. Remove the bolt and safety belt buckle.

Note safety belt buckle position for correct installation.

To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
7. For LH seat, remove the 2 bolts and recliner.

To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
8. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.

verify correct function:

Retractors

Buckles
-
Belt tension sensor (BTS) (if equipped)

Front safety belt buckle support assemblies (slide bar) (if equipped)

Safety belt shoulder belt height adjusters (if equipped)
